ONE COUNTRY PROJECT LAUNCHES IMPACT SOCIAL REPORT
Americans Are Talking About Their Anxieties – And Our Elected Leaders Need to Listen
One Country Project (OCP) today released its first OCP Impact Social Report, analyzing social media discussions across five U.S. regions. The report identifies the leading economic concerns of Americans, including tariffs, job security, and the cost of living.
OCP observed social media traffic from January 2025 to March 2025, and the analysis identified a number of key insights into issues that Americans are discussing:
There is a widespread concern about tariffs. The ambiguity surrounding tariffs and whether or not they will be implemented and their impact on the economy remains a major point of contention for Americans.
Americans are anxious about job security as a result of DOGE’s unorthodox approach to government restructuring through layoffs.
Optimism about the cost of living has quickly declined, and concerns are rising over the impact tariffs will have on inflation.
Groceries remain a concern across the nation as prices have surged, and Americans’ sentiments on the subject have grown increasingly negative since Trump’s inauguration.
