ONE COUNTRY PROJECT RELEASES JUNE IMPACT SOCIAL REPORT
Americans Are Talking About Their Anxieties – And Our Elected Leaders Need to Listen
One Country Project (OCP) today released its released its fourth installment of the Impact Social Report, analyzing social media discussions in the month of June across five U.S. regions. The report identifies the leading economic concerns of Americans, including tariffs, job security, and the cost of living.
OCP observed social media traffic in June 2025, and identified key insights into issues that Americans are discussing:
After a brief rebound in May, concerns around job security in the U.S. has deteriorated again with fears of AI automation and increased visibility of layoffs.
Sentiment around the cost of living improved slightly, but masks a growing divide. While prices may be down, financial milestones like buying a home or retiring feel increasingly out of reach.
Consumers are worried about how quickly the cost of items can change, citing recent geopolitical instability and the lasting uncertainty surrounding tariffs.
Americans aren’t asking for economic miracles—they’re asking for predictability, protection and a path back to affordability. Until those conditions return spending will likely remain cautious.
