ONE COUNTRY PROJECT RELEASES JULY IMPACT SOCIAL REPORT
Americans Are Talking About Their Anxieties – And Our Elected Leaders Need to Listen
One Country Project (OCP) today released its released its fifth installment of the Impact Social Report, analyzing social media discussions in the month of July across five U.S. regions. The report identifies the leading economic concerns of Americans, including tariffs, job security, and the cost of living.
OCP observed social media traffic in July 2025, and identified key insights into issues that Americans are discussing:
Concerns about job security lessened throughout July, but it does signal confidence across the board. Instead, it reflects a divide where some are bracing for the worst and others are proudly proclaiming recovery.
Artificial Intelligence remains another key source of concern. While the conversation around AI has been building for months, there’s a growing belief that its impact on jobs is no longer theoretical.
Public sentiment around the cost of living declined sharply in July, as Americans are frustrated with nearly every aspect of household economics.
Even as policymakers debate rate cuts or tariff strategy, most Americans aren’t waiting for answers — they’re reacting to what they see in their rent, their receipts, and their paychecks.
