One Country Co-Founder Joe Donnelly Confirmed as Ambassador to Holy See

WASHINGTON, D.C.-- Today,One Country co-founder, former Senator of Indiana Joe Donnelly, was confirmed as the United States Ambassador to the Vatican.

We are honored to see Senator Donnelly confirmed as Ambassador to the Vatican. As a life-long Catholic, I am confident in the faith-based leadership Joe will bring to the role,” said OCP founder Heidi Heitkamp. “Joe’s commitment to his faith has been evident throughout our friendship and his time of public service. I can’t think of anyone better for this post.

“Senator Donnelly’s instrumental contributions to One Country have been many, and the accomplishments made under his leadership have paved the way for leaders in Washington to rebuild trust and respect in rural communities across the country. Over the past two years, we have worked together to promote rural interests, from championing investments in rural health care, broadband, and sustainable farming practices to advancing legislation that will create good-paying jobs in our nation’s small towns and agricultural communities. We are eternally grateful to Senator Donnelly for his dedication to improve the quality of life for rural Americans and wish him the best in his new role as Ambassador.”
