One Country Project Partners with Community Organizations on the Frontlines of Fighting the COVID-19 Pandemic

WASHINGTON, D.C. One Country Project (OCP) is proud to partner with and support a group of powerful organizations conducting essential work in their communities with financial grants totaling $20,000. The devastating health crisis caused by COVID-19 has negatively affected communities across the United States – exacerbating food insecurity, education attainment issues, homelessness, and behavioral health needs.

“OCP works every day to help bridge the gap between our nation’s rural communities and urban and suburban communities to show we are better when we understand each other as one country. We hope these financial grants will help communities of all stripes better wade through this health crisis,” stated the One Country Project Board.

The Spirit Lake Tribe Food Distribution Program is a function of the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR) program, which is administered at the federal level by the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS), an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. Spirit Lake Tribe’s program helps feed those living on the reservation, educated community members on healthy eating, and operates community gardens that provide fresh ingredients.
