One Country Project Statement on the Anniversary of the January 6 Insurrection

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The One Country Project Board of Directors released the following statement on the anniversary of the January 6 insurrection at the U.S. Capitol:

"One Country Project was founded on unity, with the goal of seeking common ground between Americans from all walks of life - rural, urban, and suburban. On the anniversary of the January 6 insurrection, we remember the day the country was supposed to unite behind a new president and the peaceful transfer of power, but instead experienced a day of danger and fear that illustrates the deep divisions that jeopardize our democracy.

"As an organization. One Country Project will continue to advocate for policies and leaders that ensure a better future for all Americans. We will work alongside President Biden, Congress, and local officials who are committed to overcoming our divisions, fortifying our democracy, and improving life in each and every American community."
